About Me

Bio

I grew up in Iowa and Arizona. A lifelong storyteller, I was making faces at myself in the mirror as a baby and creating my first characters (Flywin Cat and The Nut in the Front Row) by age four. I grew up in artistic family, taking lessons in dance, visual arts, theater, and creative writing. For high school, I attended Flagstaff Arts & Leadership Academy, where I received awards for outstanding achievements in creative writing and theater.

In September of 2015, I received my BA in Liberal Arts from The Evergreen State College with a focus in creative writing. While a student, I worked as a peer tutor in the Writing Center and served on the editorial board of Inkwell The Student Guide to Writing at The Evergreen State College. After graduation, I spent two years as Special Assistant to the Director at the Writing Center.

From 2009-2019, I completed several rough drafts and revisions of Middle Grade and Young Adult novels. While at Evergreen, I completed an Individual Learning Contract to learn about the publishing industry and querying as an aspiring novelist. Gaudiloquence and the Frozen Story was a finalist in the Middle Grade category of the 2016 PNWA Literary Contest.

When COVID quarantine had me feeling creatively lost, I found my way back by writing about one of my favorite things—the Muppets—and in 2021, I joined the writing staff of ToughPigs.com. In 2023, I launched my passion project, “Fraggle Talk: Classic,” a deep-dive watch-along podcast.

In 2025, I published my first short story through Little Key Press, “Create-a-Chimera” in the anthology Claw Machine, followed by “Our Song” in Animal Noir in 2026.

Recently I’ve been developing a portfolio of original TV pilot scripts, comics scripts, games, and other projects. I want to try every media I can, and I can’t wait to share more stories with the world.
